Radical Joy for Hard Times

Radical Joy for Hard Times is dedicated to finding and making beauty in wounded places. When the places we love are under assault, we hurt. But when we go to these places and make beauty there, we transform the land and empower ourselves to make meaningful change in the world.

We embark on this journey with our hearts, our bodies, and our sense of adventure. We open up to the intense feelings that arise when we confront places that have been scarred by human and natural acts. We discover wonder in even the most disturbing of circumstances. Recognizing how our hearts are moved, we know with new clarity how to take responsibility for the Earth’s well-being in ways that only we are capable of. We tell our stories. We act with passion, generosity, and a willingness to be surprised. We create beauty out of waste. We discover joy.
